Santorini Airport sits on the eastern side of the famous Cycladic island, near Kamari and just a short drive from Fira, the island's main town. Operating since 1972, it has grown into one of Greece's busiest seasonal gateways, handling close to three million travellers a year as visitors flock to Santorini's caldera views and beaches. Its single asphalt runway stretches roughly 2,197 metres and accommodates a wide mix of domestic and international flights.
