Serving the North Aegean island of Samos, this airport sits beside the sea just outside Pythagorio and began operating in 1976. A compact regional gateway, it handles around half a million travellers a year through a single asphalt runway of roughly 2,100 metres. Aegean Airlines and Sky Express link it to Athens and other Greek islands year-round, while summer brings seasonal European carriers such as TUI, Jet2 and Transavia.
