Opened on 25 July 2016, this modern facility replaced an older 1982 airstrip and serves the popular Cycladic island of Paros from the Kampos area in the island's southwest, about ten kilometres from Parikia port. Its single asphalt runway, oriented 17/35, stretches around 1,400 metres, allowing larger regional aircraft than its predecessor. Passenger numbers climbed quickly, reaching roughly 205,000 in 2018, a 25 percent rise.
