This compact national airport serves the largest of the Cycladic islands, Naxos, lying close to Agios Prokopios and around three kilometres from Naxos town. Operational since 1992, it caters mainly to domestic traffic, welcoming roughly 86,000 passengers in 2018. Its single asphalt runway, designated 18/36, measures about 901 metres, limiting it to smaller turboprop aircraft.
