Ioannina National Airport, named King Pyrrhus after the famed ruler of Epirus, is the principal airport of north-western mainland Greece, serving the historic lakeside city of Ioannina. Tracing its origins to 1932, it is one of the country's older aviation facilities and sits at a notable elevation of around 475 metres. Its asphalt runway, aligned 14/32, measures roughly 2,402 by 45 metres and supports narrow-body operations.
