Ikaria Island National Airport, honoured with the name Ikaros, is the air gateway to the rugged north Aegean island of Ikaria, serving the capital Agios Kirykos. It opened in June 1995 and is managed by the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority, with terminal buildings covering roughly 1,000 square metres. The single asphalt runway, oriented 15/33, runs about 1,381 metres, making it suitable for regional turboprop services rather than larger jets.
